Floods in Côte d’Ivoire have killed at least 59 people since the start of the rainy season in May, according to the country’s communication minister. Rescue teams continue searching for additional victims, while neighboring Ghana has reported 13 deaths and flooding has also struck Benin, Togo, and Nigeria. Authorities warn that the rainy season is becoming increasingly deadly across the region.
